The "Group" shall be a non-profit, non-commercial organisation. Its purposes and objectives are to provide a "Sustainable Route for the Recovery and Recycling of Used Paper Cups and Similar Products" by all such lawful means as may from time to time seem expedient, including but not limited to:
a) identifying and determining the feasibility and sustainability of potential routes to allow the recovery and recycling of paper cups and similar products.
b) encouraging and facilitating the recovery and recycling of paper cups and similar products in an environmentally responsible and sustainable manner.
c) providing a mechanism for the transfer of non-commercially competitive information regarding recovery and recycling of paper cups to all companies and individuals involved in the supply chain.
d) co-ordinating any information required by National or European bodies for relevant issues covering the recovery and recycling of paper cups and similar products.
e) doing such other things as are necessary or desirable and lawful to further the foregoing purposes and objectives including supporting, financially or otherwise, such activities of other organisations as are consistent with the aims and objectives of the Group; and
f) ensuring the the Group shall not restrict competition, either as between one member of the Group and another or as between members of the Group and non-members.
The Group shall not concern itself with competitive trading matters and without limiting the foregoing shall not consider matters relating to the management or control of any of its members and shall have no role in the purchasing, manufacturing, pricing or marketing or any products.
